Canon PIXMA TS3320 Error Codes: Complete List and Fixes

The TS3320 shows errors as a short code on its small LCD, such as E05 or P07. On its own that code does not say much. Below is the full list for the TS3300 series (TS3320, TS3322, TS3325, TS3327, TS3329) with the matching support code, what it means and what to do.

Quick answerFind your code in the table. The most common are E02 (load paper), E03 (cover open or paper jam), E05 (cartridge not recognized), E09 (shipping tape left in), and P07 (ink absorber full, needs service). For any P code other than P07, turn the printer off, unplug it, plug back in and turn it on; if it returns, Canon advises service.

Fixes for the Codes You Will See Most

E03 – paper jam or cover open

Pull jammed paper out slowly with both hands from the rear tray or the output slot. Do not force it. If nothing is visible, turn the printer off and open the cover to check inside. Load paper again and press the Black or Color button to resume.

E05 / E14 / E15 – cartridge not recognized

Canon’s TS3300 manual says the color FINE cartridge goes in the left slot and black in the right. Reseat both until they click and check the model numbers. Full steps are in our E05 guide.

E09 – tape still attached

Common on new printers. Open the scanning unit/cover and remove any remaining tape or protective material from the FINE cartridge holder.

E08 then P07 – ink absorber

E08 is a warning that the absorber is almost full; you can usually continue for a while. P07 (5B00 family) stops printing until the absorber is serviced. See our 5B00 guide for options.

TS3320 Wi-Fi Errors (E31–E39)

Most Wi-Fi codes appear during setup. Press OK to clear the code, restart your router, and run setup again near the router on the 2.4 GHz network. If you changed routers, reset network settings first (Setup 11). For connection problems after setup, see our Canon Wi-Fi guide and offline guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Shipping tape or protective material may still be attached to the FINE cartridge holder. Remove it.
  • Press Setup until 11 appears on the LCD, then press Black or Color. This restores network settings to their defaults.
  • Load plain paper, press Setup until 1 appears, then press Black or Color.
